Our church is joining with a work team coming from Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church in Virginia to repair two homes in Jacksonville's Washington Heights neighborhood. These homes were flooded by Hurricane Irma and are barely livable. The residents do not have the resources to make the repairs. We need volunteers to work on each or all of these days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4, 5 and 6. This will be similar to a Habijax or Appalachian Service Project (ASP) project, working to replace flooring and walls, painting, etc. If you are interested, have questions or want to play a part in this reconciling work of storm recovery, please contact Bill Hoff at the church office or Joe Eberly.
Note: Our group from Mechanicsville, Virginia will be with us in worship on Sunday morning, December 3, so be sure to give them a warm welcome.
