Visiting Theologian for 2017-Phillip Jenkins

October 5-October 8

In conjunction with St. John’s Cathedral and Hendricks Avenue Baptist, Riverside is bringing Dr. Phillip Jenkins to Jacksonville. Philip Jenkins is Distinguished Professor of History at Baylor, and serves as Co-Director for the Program on Historical Studies of Religion in the Institute for Studies of Religion. He is one of the world’s leading religion scholars.

Leanne Van Dyk is President of Columbia Theological Seminary and Professor of Theology. Mark your calendar to hear her speak Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

 

Connections for Young Adults

Friday September 22, November 3, January 12 and April 13

Connections is a quarterly, gathering of young adults, open to everyone (single, married, children, no children). These gatherings will be a great time of fellowship, discussion and connection. Wine, beer & appetizers will be served and the church nursery is available.

 

Women’s Getaway with Rev. Sharol Hayner

Saturday March 17-Sunday March 18, 2018

Join us for a relaxing and meaningful weekend on the St. Johns River. Rev. Sharol Hayner will lead us in a time of renewal at Marywood Retreat Center just south of Julington Creek. Sharol has served in the PCUSA for over 45 years and is well-known for her teaching.  Saturday only registration also available.
