Holy Week at Riverside

Thursday, March 28 at 7:00 pm

Join us as we remember the last night of Christ’s life, as we begin the journey to the cross. The word “Maundy” is derived from the Latin word “commandment,” and recalls the “new commandment” Christ gave his disciples the night before he died: love one another as I have loved you. Communion will be served. Service also available via live stream, www.rpcjax.org/live

Nursery is available for K and under and will open 15 minutes prior to the service.

Friday, March 29 at 7:00 pm

Join us as we recount Christ’s passion and death, and remember all that God in Christ has done for us. This is a contemplative service of scripture and song. Service also available via live stream at www.rpcjax.org/live. Nursery is available for K and under and will open 15 minutes prior to the service.

Palm Sunday Worship

Palm Procession at 10:30 am Service

Following the lead of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem, everyone is invited to gather on the front steps for a Palm Sunday procession at 10:15 am. Once gathered, we will be led by children through Five Points and then back into the Sanctuary for our 10:30 am worship service. Our procession will be accompanied by singing and the waving of palms. Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week and recounts Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. Once the procession is complete, children will join their families in the pews.
